Jamii Health International

Charitable Contributions

Jamii Health International is an incorporated 510(c)3 non-profit institution, and donations are tax-deductible.

We welcome and encourage donations, as the creation of a health care system requires a lot of money at the beginning in order to make it last.

Your money goes to the construction of facilities, the hiring of local medical and administrative staff, the purchase of medications, equipment and supplies, as well as to training programs.

You will receive an email with your receipt for your tax records.

Jamii Health International welcomes volunteers to help in the project sites. Volunteers spend one month working with the local community, in providing health care, management, education and training, and construction/maintenance.

We need doctors, nurses, physician assistants, students, researchers, carpenters, lab technicians, ultrasound technicians, acupuncturists, and assistants.

NOTE: rotations are for one month, beginning on the 1st day of each calendar month.

Please note we cannot accommodate all volunteers or dates. If you are short-listed, we will contact you for a phone interview. Subsequently we will provide an agreement form followed by a volunteer manual. Due to the charitable nature of our organization our funds are limited and volunteers are expected to provide for their own travel to/from the project sites as well as lodging, food and insurance. Volunteers are also responsible for obtaining the proper immunizations and medications, which are laid out in the volunteer manual.
